Bacon, Beans, and Peace

your culture is unique to you and you wouldnt think about all the other cultures the same. when you goto another culture you try to find a little peice of yours somewhere inside it and you look for the people who come from your culture. for university I am going to the U.S. but i would rather stay here in kuwait because for me there truely isnt a place like it but i will still go for the better education and the freedom i would get there away from my parents and just living alone. living in anoher culture would be hard to get used to at the start but i will have my brother there which will make me feel better because he comes from the same culture. alot of people like to isolate thereselves from other cultures like the americans i met this summer who asked me ridiculous questions about kuwait as if we didnt have any technology or anything. one question he asked me was do you know what a playstation 2 is? and i wasnt very surprised that he asked that because most of the people there get the same visual about Kuwait and other arab cultures, also most didnt know where Kuwait was and i had to tell them it was the country below Iraq which they knew. One person thought kuwait was a little town in there state which really surprised me.
